Lena Holcomb is a dynamic and creative 16-year-old who has truly come into her own over the past year. A passionate reader, artist, and entrepreneur, she brings her love of reading and community to this year’s conference as the leader of an engaging book club fun shop.

Lena’s journey of growth has been fueled by her deep dive into the Boy Scouts of America, where she has thrived as an active and adventurous scout. Over the past year, she has camped in all seasons, tested her resilience at multiple scouting events, and played a key role in helping Troop 161 of Niwot secure third place at the Klondike winter campout. She also took home first place in the cook-off at the Northern Colorado Jamboree, proving that she’s just as skilled with a campfire as she is with a good book.

Beyond scouting, Lena runs a weekly homeschool book club, fostering lively discussions and a shared love of literature among fellow teens. She also pursues her artistic passion by attending a professional art school in Denver, where she focuses on ceramics. Her ultimate goal? To earn a BFA in ceramics and turn her love of pottery into a lifelong passion.

On top of all that, Lena has embraced entrepreneurship, launching her own pet-sitting business on Rover. As a five-star sitter, she has learned the ins and outs of marketing, customer service, and financial independence—all before turning 17!
